I am taking my mobile services to another company as you letter suggested.
Can you please tell me when would be the best time to leave so as to have the least downtime possible on my mobile service.
The letter says I can leave before the 01/May 14 and no penalty will apply, so I guess a week before that should be fine?

Re: Moving mobile services to another company
You can move the service when you wish to and the downtime would depend on the gaining provider. You should check with them about the porting procedures they follow and how long it will take.

Re: Moving mobile services to another company
When a move away to another provider is made in the middle of a billing cycle is a pro rata refund of the remaining period of the month given? - or is it forfeited?
Or do I just wait to activate the new service with the other provider until the end of the month?

Once your service has been ported away, you can send an email to billing@exetel.com.au requesting for a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.
