So this appears to be new... are you going to introduce the $10 torrent cache plan function thinghamy to increase this 48gb?ForumAdmin wrote: From February 1st 2008 downloads in the 12 midnight to 12 noon wil be charged for downloads over 48 gb in that period.
Re: Reminder Of 12 Midnight To 12 Noon Conditions
I believe it was first mentioned by ForumAdmin a couple of months ago.thomashouseman wrote:So this appears to be new...
I don't think the P2P cache has sufficiently proved its mettle yet, so there is no movement that I'm aware of on the "P2P plans".

As someone who in the past took advantage of the old system a little bit I think this is good news.
It should improve speeds for everyone slightly and get rid of the people who want to download 100's of gigs for free.

edit: It wasn't me only copped $3.00.
I still dont understand how someone can use that much!
Easy. Que up a few hundred gbs of stuff from news groups. Thats what I did the month before charging after 72GB came in. Got a few hundred GB
sad that it has to come to this, but i totally understand why it has had to with people going so extremely over.
I just upgraded from the $55 1.5mbps to the 65$ 1.5mbps plan in an attempt to stay under the 48gb limit, i always seem to go about 5gb over the off peak limit
But since i download about a total of 65gb a month hopefully ill be under from now on.
Any chance we might see an option of buying an extra 10-20gb for offpeak at a discounted rate? Personally i would rather pay $10 for an extra 15-20gb off peak instead of an extra 10gb in peak times, and surely it would be best to keep downloaders downloading in off peak times.

Or you'll pay for it this coming February.
