warhammer online laggy

Post by warchild » Sat Aug 16, 2008 5:26 pm

Hello

I am in the closed beta for warhammer online, I have installed the client without issue and I have been able to play.

what is odd is that, I can play on the US servers without issue and not much lag, but if I try to play on the oceania server (darklands) I lag a lot, so much so NPC's disappear from screen. I am amased its actually letting me log on.

This has been constant for the last two days which makes me think its an exetel network problem as I have friends whom I talk to from other games whom are also in the beta and they are having no problem with this server.

As you can imagine, I want to play on this server with my friends, etc.

thanks

edit: some more info on this.

This seems identical to http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=294&t=28336, so keep an eye on that thread as well.

The 4294967245 ms readings will simply be underflows most likely resulting from a timing issue. They are actually -1 ms and -3ms readings, but the tracert formats than as positive binary readings equal to 2^32-1 and 2^32-3. Are you running a dual CPU machine, because I recall seeing similar symptoms before. I think I have also seen similar symptoms with certain motherboard / graphic card combos. It is quite unlikely that these underflow readings are related to your Warhammer lags though.

You may also want to try the Warhammer forums (http://warhammer-oceania.com/) for support.

I've been having the same issue since friday night .
The melbourne server lags out but the US servers are fine.
Reset my router a number of time's and at a lose what to try next

Its an odd one , a friend in brisbane on exetel has no issues at all.

Same type of excuses happened in the WoW forum we all created until you fixed it.

It's the connection its broke for many people. I think it's time to look on your end not ours! Pretty simple hey without all the BS!

Yeah they just have to allocate more bandwidth towards the warhammer server because you know gaming takes up so much bandwidth. (sarcastic)

Sorry to be angry about this but one should be able to play any game without these problems. No other ISP's have problems so why does Exetel what do they do different...

I sent an email yesterday but am still having the same issues. Any idea when this will be fixed? Before beta finishes maybe?

It also worked fine for me on thursday, didn't try friday but all day sat and sunday i couldn't play on Aus servers only.
