As per
previous announcement the temporary hostnames for home.exetel.com.au have been removed. This means that if you are still using:
- temporary.mydbadmin.home.exetel.com.au
- temporary.home.exetel.com.au
- temporary.exetel.com.au
you'll need to stop and, instead, use the hostnames below:
- mydbadmin.home.exetel.com.au
- home.exetel.com.au
As such, if you are experiencing problems connecting, please make sure you are using the correct hostname.

The old server will continue to be available though now that it's out of the two week cross-over period it may be turned off without warning. You can still access it using your old login details via:
old.home.exetel.com.au for FTP and
https://old.mydbadmin.home.exetel.com.au/ for MySQL

331 Password required for fw_reesg
Password:

It seems you've struck it lucky. We're looking into why this is failing seemingly just for you (other requests for creation and deletion work properly).

I deleted the account and recreated it and it now works. Also of note this was the first time I received the email notification that the space was enabled.

Yup. That was a symptom of the problem. Happy the fix stayed working.

Hi Andrew / Gidget
Thanks for your patience and help. All is well - my little webpage is all go. I have never had a problem with exetel - the service and reliability is great. This forum has been a great help - The tone of the forum is excellent (mature). Some sites seem to go off on tangents wereas this site is very cool calm and helpful. It allows 60 year olders like me to come to grips with it all. Once again thanks very much. Regards Alick
