Speed isn't great, but I can live with that. It's these ping times that are really annoying. Anything I can do about that from my end?

The ping times from speedtest.net aren't really too reliable (I sometimes get these 300ms ping times too). Better to try a tracert to a server or site in question to get a better feel for round trip latency.

Since I woke up this morning, this has been almost unusable. Constant page timeouts, slooooow speeds.
Can't even get a reading from the Exetel Speedtest as it won't complete....and has been running for three minutes now.
Speedtest.net reports:
Im suprised it's even as fast as that. Can't log in to my studentmail account for uni, which is important this morning as I need to print off an essay due today.

Same here, North Sydney.
I don't understand the huge variation in speeds I get day after day. One day it could be 6500kb/s, the next 1500kb/s. Today its more like 300kb/s, which is not much good.
Why the variations?

Lousy in West Pennant Hills as well. Speedtest shows <300K which is 10% of normal speed. Is there a problem?

Definately a problem. Granville exchnage, slow as. 1500 constant ping on WoW, normally sits on 200ish.

I've got the same problem, my connection speed is woeful. Looking at even these forums it'll take about 15 seconds for the page to load.
My speeds are generally at least 8mb/sec+ from speedtest.net, the speed I'm getting at the moment is barely 5% of that.
