Can only load exetel.com.au

I can't load any websites except for exetel.com.au. This problem started at 9 am today.

In my 3 years of using exetel this is the first time my connection hasn't worked. I haven't changed any settings on my modem or anything so I'm pretty sure it must be something on exetel's side...does anyone know whats wrong??

I've found a few more websites that work.

www.ebay.com.au
www.heraldsun.com.au
www.theage.com.au

So it seems there are a few specific (Australian) sites that still work which is really weird. What could be causing this?

Ok well I reset my modem and that fixed my problem. Anyone else experiencing this problem you should restart your modem!

Same here I can only get to the sites listed in this thread.

Receive ping replies from ebay.com.au , www.news.com.au, however i recieve no replies from www.google.com.au

It definitely started this morning.

Seems to be some sort of routing issue at exetel's end.

Wish I'd noticed this morning, I would have reported it.

im ok now - switching the modem off a couple times seems to have resolved the issue.

Same thing happened here in Elsternwick, VIC. Agree with the restarting advice above - worked (third time around). If that fails, try going into your modem settings and choose disconnect, then reconnect.

Strange... Anyone have an idea as to what may have caused this?

Yes that was weird. Turning my modem on and off fixed it. I'm in St Kilda too.

ok - looks like the issue is back again - woke up this morning and the same issue - this is really wierd

the same story with my connection... yesterday was fixed but this morning problem is back...
also all speeds are VERY slow... I'm getting frustrate already from all this

Mentioned problem - something was bounced and now all is fine.

Powered modem off for 1 minute, then on, three times.
Just tried disconnect, reconnect as per suggestion above.
No improvement.
Turned firewall off.
No change.
Happened yesterday morning as well.

Inbound email works (not outbound), limited pages as above, nothing else.

Problem on all my desktops and laptops.

! just took my laptop next door - he's on Telstra, plugged in and laptop connected to internet ok.

Rebooting the modem should resolve the issue, I've also escalated this issue to our networks team to find out why users are hitting our NSW network.
