Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application
Just a quick note that the above link is wrong the .zip extension should probably be .jar as in the first post.smsdeveloper wrote:We identified several defects in the previous release and we updated it.

Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application
Hi smsdeveloper.
I had been using exeSMS v0.95 on my Nokia E51 for many months, however right around the time of you post on Aug 24th 2009, I could no longer authenticate with the Exetel API.
After a lot of trial and error I found the demo of exeSMS v2.0 and that could authenticate. Is it possible there have been changes to the back end authentication method - that would break older versions of the exeSMS application on the mobile?
Anyway it's all good with V2.0, but just wanted to post in case there were others out there with authentication issues on v0.95

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application
Hi djdoo,
This for your consideration. exesms app prompt 5 times asking your approval before it start. First 3 times prompt for get your approval for access to the phone book and last 2 for get your approval for access your phone book groups details.
Even though you press the 'no', the application will start. But when you try to add contact in the bulk/group sms sending function it will display error msg. This will not happen in the single sms sending function. So it better press 'yes' if you want to send group sms or bulk sms.
Cheers...

Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application
Hi,
I use eXeSMS_v1.5 on my PC.
Is there also a version available for a Pocket PC/smartphone running Windows 6 Mobile? If so, please point me in the right direction.
Idea being, I'd like to SMS over the internet on the PocketPC, just the same as I presently do on my desktop WinXP PC.
Thanks. Cheers.

Hi djdoo & ken,
Sry for the delay. As I mentioned in my early post if your handset support that minimum configuration then definitely application will work.
Thanks. Cheers....

Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application
Hi,
I have already tried installing eXeSMS_v1.5 on my HTC Touch Cruise Pocket PC .... got back an error message saying this is not a PPC program. Hence my question seeking a compatible eXeSMS version. I'm back to square one.
What can you suggest I do or try now please? Thanks.

Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application
Can a shortcut be set-up so that the program can be hidden/minimised to run in the background? That is add 'exit' option to the main menu and replace the current 'exit' shortcut with a 'hide/minimise' shortcut.
Re: Exetel Mobile SMS Application
Hi there.
I was just wondering if there are any plans to have an app to send exesms from the iphone.
The .jar files above aren't compatible with the iPhone since it is not a Symbian phone.
Regards
Kevin

Java applications are not written specifically for Sybmian or S60 devices, there are numerous Java or S40 capable devices out there. Complain to Apple for not including Java in their crippled iPhones.bigkev81 wrote:Hi there.
