Having trouble connecting using a E180 modem.
Software and drivers all loaded on PC.
"exetel1" APN entered in profile.
When CONNECT clicked, it just sits there.
Any suggestions?
The modem was previously with Optus, but as far as I know, is unlocked.
Thanks.
Ian
Can't connect with Huawei E180
Re: Can't connect with Huawei E180
With the Windows driver these devices usually work if you create a new profile rather than amend an existing one. If you have a recent Ubuntu OS you will find you can select Wireless Broadband as your network, then select Exetel, and it just works, without having to install anything.

As mentioned by Dazzled, make sure you create a new connection and enter APN exetel1 in that one. If you try to overwrite the Optus APN with exetel1, funny things sometimes happen
