Hosting - forbidden, don't have permission error

Post by antney » Fri May 21, 2010 1:36 pm

Anyone else experiencing this at the moment on a hosted website? I'm stuck, it's urgent and there is no telephone support for hosting!

You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8g Server at Port 80

I set up WordPress blog, was configuring it all nice - 80% complete, was working fine - into the database, chose themes etc. Then it dropped and I got this error.

I created a test page - which also throws the same error; am I correct in assuming a network/infrastructure issue or is there something else I can do here (other than delete everything and redeploy)

Thanks in advance for any help.

This was caused by file permission of '.htaccess' file.

This issue was fixed 05/21/2010 around 03:00 PM
