I'm looking to port my Optus iPhone number to a WM-x plan.
The national call charges are listed on the WM-x plan pages, but there is no indication of charges for calling overseas destinations. Can someone point me in the right direction?
International calls on WM-x plans?

I believe they are per min rates to landlines. Not sure on international mobiles?
Have you considered MoIP/VoIP? much better rates.

I do use VoIP (have Counterpoint's Bria iPhone app installed, with my naked ADSL VoIP account, including an international VoIP pack), but always want to know what the alternatives cost, just in case, and to do a call by call usage/pattern comparative analysis, to see what I will be saving or not.

International calls are barred by default (also roaming) on these plans. You have to pay 200 dollars deposit to activate international roaming.

Re: International calls on WM-x plans? - Can I turn off data
Where on the user facilities do I go to enable / diasble international roaming?
I am on the WM-A plan
Found it: Under Valued Added Services under the Wireless Broadband area of User Facilities
Next question - I've already paid the $300 deposit for roaming but the International Roaming box was unticked - I've reticked it now as I am overseas next week and need international roaming but how do I get my deposit back once I no longer require international roaming?
Another question is as this is an HSPA Wireless Broadband with a mobile service attached to it will it work overseas if I turn off wireless data will the mobile service still work?

Re: International calls on WM-x plans?
So I've ported my Optus iPhone service to a WM-C plan - everything is working fine, so far.
How do I enable calls to international destinations on the mobile service? I was able to make calls to international destinations with the Optus service.
I don't want international roaming, but can only find the ability to turn that on.

Thanks Gidget
My issues are sorted now:
1. The mobile service works overseas without a data connection
2. I did get charged a second $300 deposit which has been taken from my bank account but I am assured by Exetel Billing that it will be credited back to me
