No audio when receiving call from Aust landline number

Post by brianlhm » Thu Sep 09, 2010 7:25 pm

Hi,

I have been using VoIP for awhile, and had took me quite some time to get most of the settings correct.

At the moment, what are working fine:
1) Make call to mobile, local, interstate and international number.
2) Receive call from mobile and international call.

The major problem is I am able to receive phone call from local land line number, but no audio on both side. I have tried different codec and modems and still make no different at all.

I wound like to know do I have set anything wrong or someone else also has the same problem?

Modem: TP-Link TD-8840
VoIP Phone: Thomson ST2030
Codec: 711U
Packetization: 20ms
Firewall: Phone is in DMZ and Port Forwarded

Brian

Using a DMZ should obviate the need for router port forwarding, as it forwards all ports and protocols. I'd add both G.729 and G.711A to your Thomson codec list, all fixed, at 20 ms.

PS A demo interface is shown at http://www.cormain.com.au/demo/AST2030/main.html
