Yeah, I looked at those too. For my wife, who is very low user (< $5/m), the vodafone Mobile 1 is still a better option. Particularly if she gets into more data usage. M1 is 7c/MB, and only charged if a session is > 60kb (or something like that)- so she could use several MB of data in a month, and still pay nothing nothing. Optus is 24c/MB (SMS is cheaper, calls a little bit cheaper - but these aren't significant enough yet).
So, currently, not worth the $20 fee and $5/mo minimum spend to switch. Will keep watching though.
