The Exetel 6-year club
Re: The Exetel 6-year club
Re: The Exetel 6-year club
I just looked up my join date on this my main Exetel account (which has moved 3 times) and well, figured out that it would be around abouts the 20th of June 2004 (had to find that by googling my usename+exetel lol). I've also had 2? unwired and 1 other adsl account run semi concurrently with my main account over the years. Add them all up and i've prolly paid for about 9 or 10 years of internet, wow.
I've nearly always been a low volume user so undoutedly Exetel and I have been a pretty good match.

Are you able to give any update on this proposed loyalty bonus scheme? If not is there any indication you can give on expecting timing of an announcement?ForumAdmin wrote:One of the things we didn't have time to address in the days before new year was to put in place a formal loyalty program based on longevity.
We got close and the likely structure of the program we hope to have in place by 1/1/2011 may look like this with the following monthly discounts:
2 years - $2.50
3 years - $5.00
4 years - $7.50
5 years - $10.00
It requires more discussion
Re: The Exetel 6-year club
Bump, any update on whether this discount program is feasible/will happen? Given the margins that have been mentioned here and on JL's blog in the past, those discount figures look like they could easy bump some customers into the red for Exetel, but if you guys decide you can afford it you'll get no arguments from me!

Re: The Exetel 6-year club
The proposal was not approved at yesterday's board meeting.
It will be reconsidered and then re-presented.

Re: The Exetel 6-year club
I for one would love it if this scheme got approved. I've been a continuously connected Exetel customer since 17th July 2004, missing the pioneer discount cutoff by just 17 days (apparently).ForumAdmin wrote:It will be reconsidered and then re-presented.
With or without the pioneer discount, it's still been the best value connection for my needs (hence why I'm still here).
Re: The Exetel 6-year club
I have been with Exetel since March of 2004 and as far as I know that has been continuous. I have been using the net all that time and only with Exetel.
Why am I not getting this discount?

hayzee

You need to email billing@exetel.com.au with your ADSL phone number and ask to be evaluated.
Also keep an eye on the monthly newsletter for any announcements regarding beneficial initiatives such as this, as that's where they are generally announced.

From March 1st 2011 a $5.00 discount on plan charges per month will be applied to all customers who joined Exetel before 31st December 2004.
Customers who already receive a Pioneer Discount will not receive this $5.00 discount

Re: The Exetel 6-year club
I've been a member for a long time, but had a gap of approximately 1 month as I was moving house and waiting for a new telephone line to be connected. Am I still eligible?

It should make no difference.punjabiz wrote:I've been a member for a long time, but had a gap of approximately 1 month as I was moving house and waiting for a new telephone line to be connected. Am I still eligible?
Re: The Exetel 6-year club
I've noticed a for a few members that their initial connection date was quite early but during a change of plans at some stage their user facilities shows a much later connection date in line with a new service (change from ADSL1 to ADSL2), how would they best confirm what their original start date with Exetel was?ForumAdmin wrote:From March 1st 2011 a $5.00 discount on plan charges per month will be applied to all customers who joined Exetel before 31st December 2004.

Anyone? I'm pretty sure the date in my user facilities is the date I moved to ADSL2.jokiin wrote:I've noticed a for a few members that their initial connection date was quite early but during a change of plans at some stage their user facilities shows a much later connection date in line with a new service (change from ADSL1 to ADSL2), how would they best confirm what their original start date with Exetel was?ForumAdmin wrote:From March 1st 2011 a $5.00 discount on plan charges per month will be applied to all customers who joined Exetel before 31st December 2004.

Re: The Exetel 6-year club
I figure I'll wait until I see the March bill and escalate to billing if I think there is a problem.
Given this hassles with WM-A -> CAP35, I expect to have a problem anyway, but I live in hope!
