I recently upgraded to T8-120( 8192/384) & wondering what speeds I should expect from it.
I am consistently getting around this level Download Speed: 6666kbps (833.3 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 293kbps (36.6 KB/sec transfer rate) I have tested this regularly since upgrading end of Sept 2011 at different times of the day.
I have done the isolation test of removing all the phones & filters from the phone line which did not make any difference to the results, disconnected all other computers & Xbox in the house & only had the 1 that has the router connected by cable for the tests.
Are those speeds normal for this connection, if not then how do I go about improving it if it's possible please.
My router is new this year so I do not think the problem lies with it, Belkin F7D4402.
Any advice is greatly appreciated as my knowledge of the more technical stuff with broadband is limited.

Your actual speed will depend on the length and quality of your phone line from the exchange (similar to ADSL2+ services). Could you post the modem line status figures (attenuation, noise margins, and line rates)? Do you have an estimate of the distance to the exchange - along the road, not the crow's version?
Edit: I just remembered - some Belkin stuff hides things from the user, and are set up using computer software - reasons I won't buy one. If you can't find the line status from the browser interface, sometimes http://192.168.2.1/adsl_status.stm or http://192.168.2.1/ADSL_status_main.stm in the browser are reputed to work.
