New plan, old sync speed.
New plan, old sync speed.
On Jan 1 I was moved from an old 1.5Mbit plan to a current 8Mbit plan but I'm still syncing at the old 1536/256 even after unplugging the modem power and phone for 30 mins+. I'm pretty keen to see what sort of speed I can sync at after 5 years of 1.5Mbit so I'm just wondering if anyone knows when I'll be upgraded.
Thanks, Kane.
Thanks, Kane.

I have just had a look at your service and its seems as though there is a issue with the ADSL programming . I will forward this issue to the Provisioning team to get it looked into

I have created a ticket (Ticket ID: 6025601), for future reference.

Re: New plan, old sync speed.
Thanks! Looks like it's all sorted out now, I'm syncing at 2688/384, pretty low really but I'm not too surprised given my distance.

Good to hear that its syncing up faster now, the ADSL programming too seems to have changed now.kanem wrote:Thanks! Looks like it's all sorted out now, I'm syncing at 2688/384, pretty low really but I'm not too surprised given my distance.

Re: New plan, old sync speed.
I had this question myself - I was moved from a 1.5Mbit plan to an 8Mbit one, and my member panel says my service speed is "8192/384" but I am still synching at 1500/256. (as an aside, I find it amusing that my new shaped upload speed is now faster than my non-shaped upload speed. Is that normal?) But I have been told by support that I am not getting a line speed change? I guess I am wondering why some people have gotten a speed change and I have not.kanem wrote:On Jan 1 I was moved from an old 1.5Mbit plan to a current 8Mbit plan but I'm still syncing at the old 1536/256 even after unplugging the modem power and phone for 30 mins+. Hi Astrogirl,
You seem to have the same issue, I have informed our provisioning team to look into this (Ticket ID: 6050312).

Re: New plan, old sync speed.
Thankyou. I appreciate that. Is there a time frame I should wait before following it up? I'm not sure how long these things take to sort out.Saliya Pinto wrote:Hi Astrogirl,

@Astrogirl
Change would normally take effect by close of business tomorrow(15/01) or on the next day

Re: New plan, old sync speed.
Just wanted to say thankyou, this seems to be resolved for me now. Very much appreciated.

Re: New plan, old sync speed.
Same problem. Got bumped to ADSL1-R-20 here at work, Exetel site says 8192/384, still syncing at 1500.
I've power cycled the modem. Haven't tried turning it off for any length of time, people in the office will complain.
