Missing page for MVN
Missing page for MVN
If I am on this page: https://www.exetel.com.au/voice/send_web_sms_detail.php
And click the "Virtual Mobile" button, I get taken to this URL: https://www.exetel.com.au/voice/send_we ... ge_mvn.php , which gives me a 404.

Re: Missing page for MVN
Hi,
Any ETA on this? I wanted to modify the email addresses the MVN forwards to.
Or perhaps you can help me with the configuration? I can't remember what I had there, but it should be two addresses, and I want to remove one of them.
Thanks

Re: Missing page for MVN
Hi,
The page works, thanks. I've modified the email addresses.
I've been unable to test the emails (yet) or breakage of SMS messages (linked to this thread). There seems to be a big delay in their deliveries. First one I tried was 18 minutes ago, and there's nothing in the email. Could be an email problem, who knows... I've tried sending short SMSes as well, but still nothing yet.
I'll try and post as soon as I get one of them.
The other issue (not linked to this thread) about the MVN inbox taking ages to load is still not solved, so I can't see (without waiting ~ 10 minutes for each page load) whether the SMSes have arrived there or not.
Regards,
bilal

Re: Missing page for MVN
Just to add to above, emails across providers have no issues coming in, pretty much instantly.
I hope the page didn't break anything because of "mis-adaptation" for voice customers?

Re: Missing page for MVN
I'm going to try to load the MVN inbox page.
It seems that when I try to load it, I can't do anything else on any other voice-member page, even if I cancel the hanging request.
I wonder if it affects other customers' access as well, while it crunches that list...
May be someone can try accessing the members UI in about 10 seconds from now for up to 10 minutes from when this post goes up.

Re: Missing page for MVN
Ok got the MVN inbox.
The SMSes were there.
And *just now* got the emails.

Re: Missing page for MVN
And to add: the longer messages were broken up into separate entries in MVN inbox and separate emails.

We have checked this with the supplier and unfortunately this cannot be changed, as It's the way the messages are received from the handset to the platform.

Re: Missing page for MVN
I suppose this is probably a case of you get what you pay for, but I guess if there's no room for feedback, then there's no room for improvement. I don't mean to sound or be offensive, but this is my take on it:stevecJ wrote:Hi,bilal wrote:And to add: the longer messages were broken up into separate entries in MVN inbox and separate emails.

I think it is pretty lame considering mobile phones know how to piece messages together. Perhaps it is a function of the network / provider being used, but in this day and age, when SMS services could potentially be put to good automated workflows, a message that was sent as one piece should be able to be received as such. This would make a mess of things. One would have to employ artificial time-based controls which even then, would have the potential to go wrong.
