EXECHAT

Post by TuSlayer » Thu Jan 02, 2014 5:46 pm

I'm looking to sign up a family member with the "Residential ADSL2+ Broadband with Phone Line Rental" plan, but they make 10x 20-40min national calls a month.
Was reading about the "EXECHAT Unlimited & Untimed National Call Pack: $10.00 per month" and it said "nominated destinations."

So how many nominated EXECHAT destinations can one have?

Go down to the bottom, where it says "> Unlimited – Phone Call Add-on Packs" and click.
This will open a drop down with an explanation.

EXECHAT Unlimited National Add-on Call Pack: allows you to make an Unlimited Number of Untimed Calls to the nominated destinations which is covered by the Total Minimum Monthly Cost of the Add-on Pack. This includes an Unlimited Number of Untimed Calls to Local, 13/1300, Standard National and Australian Mobile Numbers. Charges for Calls made that are not included in your EXECHAT National Add-on Call Pack will be payable in addition to the Total Minimum Monthly Cost of the Add-on Pack. International, Satellite and Directory Assistance Calls are not included in the EXECHAT Unlimited National Add-on Call Pack will have per minute rates (billed per second) applied as listed on Exetel's Phone Charges page. This service is for residential consumers and may not be used for commercial purposes. Please visit our Residential Acceptable Use Policy for more details http://help.exetel.com.au/aup.php

Just tried "Step 1: Let's start by seeing which service you can get" and EXECHAT didn't come up.
Is Exechat and the bundle deal not available on telstra only networks?

It's only available on the Optus plans.

I noticed that my mothers exchange has Optus available but when she goes to change plans she doesn't have any option to go to that plan.

I also tried another of her friends that lives in the same street and they also don't have that option.

They do both have their current lines with Telstra. Does that mean that even though their exchange has Optus they would have to first contact Optus ,change their line over then apply to Exetel ?
