PPPoE authtication back up now, at around 1.30am this morning (3/2/15).
Was the problem actually fixed this time or is it an intermittent issue that has "come good" for now?

Down at Corrimal as well.
Seriously, will Exetel be emailing those who have been inconvenienced offering service credits? Once is ok. But four times in a fortnight?!

I've been having the exact same problem since Friday night here in Surry Hills. I have lodged a ticket but still have not had a single reply from exetel. Can I please get A tech to have a look at the open ticket (#8761527).
How long till this will be fixed?

I had a look into your support ticket and at the moment you are using the incorrect password in the modem. I sent you the correct details. Please let us know if any issues persists after updating the password.

We've had the same issue for a couple of days now, on and off - in Kingsford in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney (though I realised we're actually connected to the Manly exchange, which is very far away - does that make any sense?). I thought we'd fixed it after the outage on Friday, but are offline again tonight (and were last night, too). This is getting really annoying, because I'm working from home and relying on mobile internet is expensive. Any idea when this issue will be fixed permanently?
Even when we were able to connect during the day, we never went beyond 2Mbps, which is not impressive.

This service is still trying to authenticate with incorrect PPP credentials. We have sent you the details again via a separate email. Please reconfigure the modem with correct login details to access internet. If that doesn't work please check your home phone number (CLI) by dialing 1800 652 456 and let us know if its incorrect.

Yeah nah - Exetel, the Corrimal exchange just died. Authentication issues again.
This is getting ridiculous. As loyal Exetel customers, that have raved to friends about the value for money with this place, switching ISPs looks mighty attractive about now.

Received both PMs.
It appears to be an Outage. If you check your PSTN and if you hear a busy tone instead of the usual dial tone you will be affected by this.
We are currently in the process of updating the Outages page of this issue.
I will update the link here once it has been done.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
