IPv6 Availability for Residential Users
Has Exetel made any progress in making IPv6 available to residential customers?

Re: IPv6 Availability for Residential Users
While not really IPv6, and just a kludge, how does a Residential customer go about setting up 6to4? Can you point me to documentation on the Exetel website.angelos wrote:Please refer viewtopic.php?f=15&t=37716&p=312110&hilit=IPv6#p309668squarefanatic wrote:Has Exetel made any progress in making IPv6 available to residential customers?

Unfortunately we do not have a documentation for this. As on the referred thread if you need this you may drop an email to corporatesupport@exetel.com.au with your service number, contact details and your requirement we can advise you further.squarefanatic wrote:While not really IPv6, and just a kludge, how does a Residential customer go about setting up 6to4? Squarefanatic, did anything come of your enquiry?squarefanatic wrote:Done!angelos wrote: Unfortunately we do not have a documentation for this. Edit: I was waiting on a reply from an email to residentialsupport, but managed to figure this out myself in the meantime. The Exetel 6to4 gateway is reachable at its RFC3068 address (192.88.99.1). I had success setting up a 6in4 tunnel using local addreess 2002:wwxx:yyzz::1/64 (where wwxxyyzz is the hex form of my static IP address). I needed to add a default v6 route to 2002:wwxx:yyzz::/128. Also I set up my LAN as 2002:wwxx:yyzz:8000:: (rtadvd) and it all "just worked".
