Hi bodogbodog,

Are you saying that you can actually get it to connect to the mail server but you get error messages that you need to acknowledge first before your emails come through?

I have imported my outlook.pst file from my old Outlook 2007 into Outlook 2019 so I can see all of my old emails but can't get it to connect to the Exetel mail server.

Exetel's response doesn't fill me with any confidence considering that this thread has been running since July. This shouldn't be that difficult to fix and the required settings should be on the Exetel Wiki by now. Setup for Outlook 2010 seems to be the latest instruction available on the Wiki. What happened for Outlook 2013, 2016 & even for Office 365?

Yes - I can send and receive mail from my exemail.com.au accounts in Outlook 2019 after I click through the alert warning about the certificate

Well you're definitley doing better than me at present.
I'm very interested to know what settings you use.

For Outlook 2007 I use the following with no issues.

If I transpose the settings I use for Outlook 2007 into Outlook 2019, it fails immediately indicating an issue with the Outgoing SMTP connection but in doing so the account setup cannot be completed. So something is being lost in translation or Outlook 2019 behaves diferently when it connects to the Exetel mail server.

Hi there,

Could you try changing your incoming mail server and the outgoing mail server to the following and let us know of the outcome?

Incoming mail server :
pop3.nsw.exemail.com.au

Outgoing mail server :
smtp.nsw.exemail.com.au

Could you kindly try the following and let us know of the outcome as well?
1.Please tick "This server requires an encrypted connection" and try again
2.Try using pop3.exemail.com.au instead of pop3.nsw.exemail.com.au

Hi Darren,

Our System administrates has advised to use the MD5 in the encryption method field. Currently It's None at the moment. Outlook might not allow PLAIN authentication method for TLS/SSL enabled case.

If you still can't login, please let us know the IP and the time you tried to connect

Hi nilushid,

Unfortunatley MD5 is not an option.

Thank you for reaching out. Please use the option SSL/TLS if the MDF5 option is not available.

No that doesn't work either.
It gives an encryption method error.

It appears as though you are just getting me to try random options. Do you actually know whether exemail is compatible with any Outlook version later than 2010?
